NorthStar are the exclusive UK distributors for the ITS range of variable angle titanium plates. ITS were the innovators in this field, having developed a technology where the screw taps a thread into the plate allowing it to lock at any angle up to 15º from perpendicular. This enables the surgeon to assemble a custom construct for the fracture being treated. It is also very fast, as no jig is required to engage a screw into the predrilled thread that is required on the majority of locking plate systems.
