To complete our upper limb range, Northstar partnered with NewClip Technics in 2010 and now distribute their upper limb trauma range in the United Kingdom.  This represents a great fit as both companies have built their success by supplying cutting edge technology into highly specialised therapy areas.

The last 10 years have seen the evolution of preformed plates for specific types of fracture, locked screws for stability and most recently variable angle locking for flexibility.  Appreciating that there is no requirement for another “me too” plating system, NewClip have further advanced the technology applied to each of these innovations and then incorporated them into their plates.

The starting point for each of their plates is the anatomical nature of their design.  Accurately replicating the surface of the distal radius, proximal humerus and clavicle in three dimensions, NewClip plates allow surgeons to restore natural alignment following these common types of fractures.  The plates then use an intelligent combination of fixed and variable angle locked screws to provide a stable construct and compression and cortical screws to secure the interface between plate and the bone.
