Fluid Collection

Waste fluids are common in many types of Orthopaedic procedures, particularly those involving Arthroscopy or Pulse Lavage. Good theatre hygiene dictates that these fluids are contained and disposed of in a way that minimises the risk of contamination.

NorthStar supply a very popular solution for this in DryMax from Absorbest. DryMax 2.4 is a floor mat that absorbs over 6 litres of water or 2.4 litres of saline. The liquid is well contained and the mat does not drip even when full.
